[ACARS] Real time ACARS Alerting software

Hi,

The next release of Log Analyser for Windows (http://www.acarsonline.co.uk)
has this feature when running with the DDE Link to ANAD and Airmaster (which
is also new in this release). Whenever a new aircraft (i.e. something you
haven't heard before) is detected, it's details are sent to a new window,
which is highlighted whenever a new one comes in. I could add an audible
indication too, if needed.

I was also thinking of adding a "highlight" feature, where the user could
enter any string and, if this was detected in a message, it would advise the
user. This sounds like what you're after. I could put this in for the next
release as it should be a fairly easy job.

This release will go out this weekend if the Airmaster DDE testing is okay.
You can see the feature in action by going to the Semi-live ACARS link from
our page.

Cheers,

Mark

Subject: [ACARS] Real time ACARS Alerting software

Hi all,

as you all know there are lots of very good programs available for analysing
ACARS logs
personally I would like software that allows me to compare real-time data
with
a large list of aircraft that I haven't seen or or any other text (ie flight
number) then when any of the aircraft in question
are picked up on my system I have this fact brought to my attention in a
very noticable way
Maybe just an extended version of the Airmaster 2000
alert facility but with a more noticable visual and audio alert would do the
trick.
I am sure this would be very desirable to many ACARS users as forewarning of
needed aircraft is always a good thing.

If anybody has any comments on this please feel free to e-mail me

all the best

Dean
