Actually, I belive the experts and the professors of RF cable theory
says that the optimum impedans for receiving are 75 ohm and for
transmitting 35 ohm and a good compromise happened to be 50 ohms.
But if we only need to receive weak signals in a cable it should
probably be 75 ohm to work the best. They use 75 ohm cable in all
cable tv installations and such where there only are receivers and
weak signals transported in the cable. I guess if 75 ohm didn't work
that well and 50 ohm would be the best, they probably should have
switch to 50 ohm cabling long ago in the cable-tv networks.
