Hello all,
I have been using WACARS and ANAD running simultaneously in my IBM T20 =
laptop for dome time alreasy.=20
So far WACARS has been doing noticeably better job as far as the number =
of decodes is concerned.=20
And it is not just because ANAD seems to accept only those where the =
header is correct while WACARS takes them all.=20
But then, every once in a while there is a decode that is available only =
in ANAD, mostly some remote ones (i.e., weak signal). The only real =
problem for me in WACARS is its not so efficient logging and mapping =
functions (all those duplicates there).=20
I only hope some day there will be a WACARS version 1.0...
I can recommend the linking of at least two decoders via DDE. And there =
Posfix 2.1 is of good help.
Airnav suite is working fine except the map functions. They seem to be =
somehow unstable, sometimes some of the functions work and sometimes not =
(OS=3DWindows98).=20
But still I have not managed to try the Airnav Internet interface. =
Disappointing as I had so great expectations of it.
With regards,
Sami
