Folks
Here in the UK Midlands I've been doing some frequency watching and
discovered some changes
136.925 - this is now typically the busiest frequency, just, having taken
over from 131.725
I logged my first AF on this frequency - eastbound from LAX: but he turned
up on 131.725 later
And I have seen the odd IB; and TP use it for CS-TNM/N
Now the home of most UA B777s. These seem to have stopped getting Oceanic
clearances via ACARS again
136.900 - this is by far the quietest here, but has undergone the biggest
change!
It used to be mainly BA, LH and KL aircraft leaving Heathrow before they
were switched to 131.525 (usually)
I have seen AF westbounds using it from SW England occasionally
But last week I had DL and KL getting Oceanic westbound: AF flights from MAN
to CDG and back
I also logged IB and UA
But it is still very quiet!
131.525 - this has dropped off badly. I thought it was just all the UA
westbound B777s using 136.925, but the DL and KL Westbounds would have been
here as well
131.725 - still the 'best' for new airframes on delivery and home for most
BizJets
Hope that helps
Ed
