[ACARS] KLIA

Andreas / list

Thanks for the information: I can confirm that both the 'k' and '2'
squitters were on 131.45 as well as just the 'k' squitter on 131.55 at KLIA.
I too thought it odd and I double-checked, though I was unaware that 131.45
was supposed to be ARINC-only (my first trip to Asia with ACARS)

With regard to your comments about Kota Kinabalu, then I did not do any
logging while at the airport so cannot be certain that there were no
squitters. We were staying in a hotel quite close to the airport but I got
no uplinks at all. My logs show downlinks to 'B'; 'J'; 'L'; 'M'; 'S'; 'W'
and '2'!

The 'local' Malaysian B737s seemed to use 'M' at the start of the log; and
then 'L' later in the day!

On Mount Kinabalu itself all the logs were to 'W'

Hope that helps!

Ed
