[AATV] Looking for advice NEWBIE

I am just getting into ATV after a long stint in VHF weak signal contesting
and a subsiquent return to ARES & APRS.

Since I am starting out from ZERO, I was looking for any advice on a place
to start? Most of my operations will be from my truck in a mobile/rover
operation.

In my area there are no one else operating fast scan ATV and only a few SSTV
folks on HF. I have played a little with SSTV on 6meter SSB till I sold the
radio.

I am willing however to foster startup activities as I did the same thing on
APRS and still scratching a few new ops. each year.

Main uses are planned for ARES/SKYWARN, local Ballon Festival, and playing
around if even by myself and a club demo (someday).

Closest ATV repeaters to me area the Pittsburgh,PA area one at about 70
airmiles away. I am located in Morgantown,WV.(FM09ap)
