Background:

I need zone 40 on 80 meters to complete my 5BWAZ

A group of us Central Arizona DX Association members were enroute from 
Phoenix, AZ to Tucson at 0h Dark Hundred, to attend a hamfest.

Driver "TF was spotted on 80m this morning"

Me "Take me home"

Driver "No"


Nice hamfest, good war stories at Chuy's afterward, head for home.

Still much daylight so XYL and I attend a BBQ sponsored by another amateur 
radio club.  Lotsa fun.

Arrive home after dark.  TF3XEN spotted on 3799 at 0026z.  Listen to East 
coast U.S. work him.  Nada in Arizona.

QRM on 3799, TF3XEN QSY's to 3776.  Listen to East coast U.S. work him. 
Nada in Arizona.

QSY to 3774.6.  Listen to East coast U.S. work him.  Nada in Arizona.


The bad news is: I didn't work him.  The good news is: maybe tonight.
