Bill,
80 metres was great in the UK last night - the K index was zero and we had a
great opening to the USA East coast through to Mid-west Colorado, Arizona
area.

worked a string of JA's at their sunrise and beyond 2200z to 2300z

Worked a bunch of W0, W7's at their sunset ( or just half an hour before )
0000z thru to 0200z

East Coast W1.W2, etc were plus 20 db over 9 on average between 2200z thru
to 0200z

Worked 9V1GA, YV4, YC0, all between 2200z and 2355z

I guess conditions must just not have happened for you in W4 ??

Hope it improves for you

73's
