FYI he is not using a 4-square. He is using a single
Titanex vertical (V80 I think) installed by K4ZW with a good radial
system for both 80 and 160. There is a tuning unit at the base
which must be adjusted for resonance on 160. When he gets his new
Alpha 87A, I think he will retune the antenna for the 1825 area.
The reason he uses 1905 is because that is where his Japanese
amplifier resonates (Tokyo Hy-Power which has now failed).

Regarding propagation, it should get better for the morning
long path (SSW direction) as we move into February. Right now there
is too much common darkness (~3 hours between his sunset and East
Coast sunrise) for the path to be optimum. Conditions should peak for
80 meters when there is about 1 hour common darkness and that will
occur for my QTH in early March around 1115-1130 UTC. 160 should peak
a little earlier...most likely in late February.

He had a good signal on 80 here today, so either he got his new
amplifier or conditions are on the upswing already.
