Ken, K4ZW, who helped JT1CO with his antennas in November, wrote the 
following on the Topband Reflector today :

I received an e-mail from Chak indicating that his amplifier is "broken,
died and QRT!!!" The good news, is that an Alpha 87A is already on it's way
and will be there before the end of the month.

So it may be a few days till Chak returns to good copy in the States on the 
lowbands.
