Yea, it sure did. I remember when we started the TowerTalk reflector on
Contesting.com. It took about 5 big mouths to talk about various crap
they were doing and interested in doing before some others joined
in. Most people are lurkers.
BTW, I'm also having success here at home in Alpharetta, Georgia where I
have antenna restrictions. I put up a 1/4 wave vertical wire (black of
course) fed against 2 elevated radials. I've worked lots of DX with this
antenna and even rag chew with the UK boys at times.
Mostly I hang out around 3525Khz looking for others to chew that with in
the evenings. Right now I'm finishing our basement and all the rigs are
under cover. Finishing the radio room first of course. :)
