Hi Guys,
Nice to see activity on the 80 metre reflector again after a long spell of
zero.
80 Mtr conditons in the UK have been very variable.
Over the Christmas period I have been very active both on CW and on SSB
I noticed over the last few days good propagation at USA sunset ( actually
half an hour earlier in some cases).
I worked George W8UVZ two days ago on CW 3504KHz when he was still in
daylight just before his sunset and he was peaking S 9 plus 10 dB !!
I have also worked K0RF and KF7E at their sunset too ( on SSB )over the past
few days
On SSB we have been working the USA West coast long path from 1500z to 1630z
almost every day. Stongest signal is usually N7UA.
I use a simple 90ft Vertical with 120 radials of 130ft each. For receive I
have 1,000 ft beverages
See you all in the pile ups
