Well, from what I've seen so far on the reflectors, 25 watts is ok to =
use as that is the max., you can use on Transverters. If there is anyone =
out there that has other opinions on this, please advise me! I also have =
the same radio and want to use it to drive the 222 transverter.

  Hi George. I have the President HR 2600 and have used it a lot on ten =

  meters. Never received a manual (paid 35 bucks for it had bad mike =
but=20
  found another) but a few weeks ago bought a manual from Gary W7FG=20
  www.w7fg.com because I have been thinking about using it with my 222=20
  xvtr (with appropriate RF actuated relay setup) and I really needed to =

  see what was inside. Looks like no problem to lower power level to=20
  drive xvtr so suggest you get a manual if you don't have one and check =

  the schematic. Otherwise you would have to make the switching system=20
  more complicated with an attenuator to lower the power level if your=20
  xvtrs cannot handle 25 watts. But should work OK. I also am =
currently=20
  using a Radio Shack HTX-100 with my 222 xvtr which works very well.=20
  Excellent noise blanker. Can easily cut the power down to almost nil=20
  with that unit also. Using a seperate RX with Microwave Module now =
but=20
  have built a Ramsey RF actuated relay so can use the transceiver for=20
  both RX and TX which is more convenient. Of course the whole setup=20
  depends on what you have for a xvtr, but the 2600 should work fine.=20
  Would be most interested in other responses you receive from others=20
  using the 2600 and what they have done to use the radio.
  73 and good luck
