Hi all... barring no unforeseen complications, I'll be activating RI on
630m over Easter weekend, April 19-21 (two evenings).  RI is the only
state that currently has had no QSO capable activity on 630m. I've
secured the callsign W1R and will be setup at a nice open site in the
Burlingame state park.  Intent to operate based on that location was
submitted to the UTC (Utilities Technology Council) over 30 days ago
with no reply, so good to go!

The equipment will be a Multus Geminus SDR, a homebrew 300W class-D
amplifier deck, and a 35ft toploaded vertical.  I've been testing the
SDR and amplifier combo over the last three weeks, all solid. The
antenna was just finished a couple of days ago for testing and I am
still adding radials to get losses further reduced and should be able to
get the full 5W EIRP w/ 300W TPO.

Now I'm looking for portable power suggestions... need 12-14VDC for the
SDR and 24-30VDC for the amplifier (12-14 amps on TX).  The portable
power station options (Bluetti, etc) look interesting, but I've read of
significant RFI (though some sources say only at 18MHz and above, yadda
yadda)... so maybe it would be fine?  Unless someone has direct
experience with one in particular, surely there's no way to know
definitely unless I purchase and test one.  Deep cycle batteries?? Two
in series? Only one with a DC-DC booster for the amp power?  Open to
ideas and have three weeks to procure and test!  No generators are
allowed between 8PM - 8AM and I will not use the car / battery... I've
had issues with that in the past and don't feel like looking for a jump
each morning!

Thanks for any suggestions and hope propagation cooperates!
