Hi John,
Yes, the idea of opening up the freqs on my ft891 crossed my mind. I know it is not hard, but I am a little afraid to try it, especially with my deteriorating vision.  I did open up my FT100 years ago, but no longer have that radio. I miss it.

If I dont find a 3.2 MHz crystal, I could use my U3S as a freq source by setting it to send out a continuous 3.2 signal. It has a good freq synthicizer.

I wish I had not given away my MF Solutions transverter when I left Vancouver WA. The ham that I gave it to has not used it to get on 630m and probably wont. What a waste. But then I never thought that I would be able to get back on 630m after choosing to move into our lovely 55+ community here in North Ogden.

I might still open up this radio, if I get enough courage, and the Lord gives me grace in this matter.

Maybe worth the effort to see what it takes to open that radio up to
transmit on 10.474....while the 3.2 LO will probably be a little more
stable, round numbers look better and sure make it easier when setting
up the dial when half asleep.. Been there before!

John..
