Greetings from EM85sg in the mountains of western NC!

I haven't posted in a while, but I have been running WSPR on most nights between 2300-2400Z to roughly 1200Z.

It appears that conditions are gradually getting better. Last night, I was heard by 53 uniques across 1109 spots, with the three best being VA7JX (3788km, 1x), N6LF (3568km, 6x) and W7IUV (3347km, 9x). I heard 14 uniques across 474 spots with the three best being K0HW (1484km, 1x), KE7A (1373km, 59x!!), and VE3CIQ (1218km, 9x).

After doing some careful measurements of my receive filter with my nanoVNA-F (using the latest version of nanovna-saver), I determined that there is about 8.5dB of in-band attenuation. So, I will be rebuilding the filter (or building a better one from scratch) over the winter; I don't have time or equipment up here to start work on it right now.

Also, with Hurricane Ian bearing down on the SC coast, it appears that we may be having high winds and heavy rain here over the weekend. I'm going to pull the Ernie Coil for the duration, and connect the inverted-L (usually used just for 630m and 2200m) to the 9:1 HF unun and use it on the HF bands.
