Got my amplifier working, but so far just using a 13.8V power supply, getting about 25-30W out on 630m,
for an EIRP of about 2.7W. I've been running WSPR, but also encountered some small issues along the
way, mostly flaky cable connections, etc.
In the past 24 hours, I heard 14 uniques across 278 spots, and I was heard by 29 uniques across 889 spots.
So, these results are encouraging. I'm planning to try to work on the antenna system today, although we
are expecting some thunderstorms and at the moment, it's very gloomy looking outside. I'll also try to
set up my 24V PS to goose my output up to 40W or so, which will get me nearer the legal limit. My
SWR curve at the moment is gorgeous, but I want to try to lower the ground resistance and use a better
connector on the coil tap.
If that goes well, then I'll unbox and install the 2200m transverter.
