Thanks for all the reports last night!
Last year VE7SL, N1DAY, and I were involved in promoting the Crystal Radio DX Contest Group on Facebook (see site) and a winter crystal radio contest that took place last January.  I don't think any of us made it to 630m. I know I didn't because soon after the contest, icing and a winter storm blew down my wire antennas. Anyway, this week I was able to get my 160M INV L back up and resonated on 630M. The mostly vertical wire goes up to the 60' level on my tower with a 100' flattop, close to a 5/16ths wl on 160. It's the most minimalist antenna I've used on 630M, and I was surprised how well it worked last night, about 40 watts TPO  (from Monitor Sensors)  into a 2.6:1 SWR with half my radials rolled up until the last yard mowing in late October. Received over 1000 spots from 31 unique stations who decoded K4LY.  My RX is hurting because I have a 10-15 dB spur right on 474.2 MHZ from, I don't know where.  I tested RX using a battery with whole house current off, and the spur doesn't appear to be generated from any of my electronics.
