Well, against all odds, I ran a wspr beacon last night using my U3S with a small amplifier. The TPO was about 1 watt according to my RatShack pwr/swr meter, LOL.

Antenna was an inverted LV.  A vertical wire of 10 feet with a top wire of 30 feet up and over the peak. It is NOT resonant on 630m but I pushed out some RF anyhow.

No reports received. No surprise.

Oh well, it was fun to give it a go anyhow...
