I have a question... what digital mode and calling freq do most people use on 630m? it would seem to me to be an advantage to use something like JS8 on a watering hole freq to be able to listen for or just a common place to listen for anyone for that matter, and then maybe have a qso that is more than just an exchange of sig reports and done.

its quite possible that I am missing the point about how operations should be on 630m...so whats up with that? does anyone know?

Greetings, Ralph (and the rest of the gang):

I concur with the comments that I've seen so far: Retain the state abbreviations and discard the full state names,
and reorder the station listings by latest QSO dates, but please continue to list me despite my absence.

No, I haven't been on in some time, and for those of you needing south Florida during the winter/spring, there is hope
in that I will be trying to get my 630m gear back on the air in a couple of weeks or so. I have had to do a lot of bush trimming
but it appears that my antenna (inverted-L using a 30m quarter-wave with a 40 foot top wire running to an avocado
tree at the 16 foot level against a 26 Ohm ground system) is intact as I've been using it to try to finish DXCC on 10m
(and thereby, 5BDXCC and 8BDXCC) as well as the DXCC Challenge. I wasn't able to get around to setting up the
giant coil I have up in Hendersonville, NC this summer as we had a lot of homeowner maintenance issues to plow
through, but I expect to get back on 630m and 2200m up there next summer.

I'll probably continue to use my K3 as the driver for the amp, as I did before, and leave the new K4D alone for HF work :-)

Very 73 and Season's Greetings to all,

Our 630m WAS List 06Dec21 is attached.  Weekly Station list updates are posted here Monday afternoons.

Note that [2200m] has been added to stations in our 630m list which are also participating in 2200m QSOs.

As we wander toward the end of 2021 I am considering changes to our 630m & 2200m QSO station list.  Please share concerns, ideas and discussions via email, W0RPK@netins.net, or via our 600MRG mailing list, 600MRG@mailman.qth.net.

Should we reorder station listings in each state by latest QSO dates, 2022 QSO dates, followed by 2021, then 2020, then all others?

Should we delete all stations from the list that did not participate in QSOs in 2020 and 2021?

Should state abbreviations remain but full state names be deleted so there is more space for each station's remarks?

Please check station information and ask for corrections and updates.
