w0yse had a major reception breakthru last night. I decided to tack a 4 turn loop (6' by 2') to my north wall of the shack. I was able to decode VE3JKZ's 630m WSPR beacon TWELVE TIMES. I was thrilled to be able to decode anything at my restricted HOA location, especially in June.

Subject: [600MRG] While I am thinking about it: WSPR and FST4W

Whether you are in the WSPR or FST4W camp, please consider either
putting your station on the air to transmit or listen for those who
are and upload your reports. A number of the guys in the trenches
every night have been lamenting the significant decrease in activity
this season, far worse than previous years. We are still working to
sell what we do, competing with other bands and other shiny things,
and a lack of activity doesn't really help for the coming season when
ops come to kick the tires and see if it worth spending cash to set up
a low band station.

Due to a software versioning problem with my 32 bit machine, I'm on
the sideline right now but have two possible hardware based solutions
en route to North Texas. Hopefully one of them will get me back on
one of those modes between CW operating sessions...

Thanks to any and all that can help during this long, hot Summer...
73!

John..
