[600MRG] excellent band conditions and propagation

Good morning,

When I went to bed last night the lightning map was packed from coast
to coast.  I did not have high hopes but this morning it was virtually
clear.

The band was remarkably quiet this morning and sounded like Fall with
an S1-2 noise level.  N9RU and I chatted on CW for about 13 minutes
before we decided it was not going to be possible to break the band
this morning..  At least not at 0900z...

WSPR was remarkable, reporting 6 stations including W7IUV's peanut
whistle...Heard by 30 and seemed to range all over North America.

I think part of the recent success is increased activity but the band
has been different all Summer, supporting sky wave CW QSO's on about
60% of the days, which has not been typical during recent years...
