Hi Dave. If I were in your shoes I would make a list of some of the
things I need the new scope to do and then decide. I do not think anyone
here can give you an answer because we would need to know key
characteristics of what you need it to do:
do you do analog work or digital or both? What kind of bandwidth does
the scope need to have? do you look at extremely weak signal where noise
may be an issue? How many channels do you need? Any special triggering
capabilities? How about built in decoding & protocol capabilities? How
about it's sampling capabilities? Storing of waveforms and getting them
off the scope? Screen size, resolution, etc? portable operation? Delay
triggering limitations?
Anyway those are just some of the considerations I would take a look at
and I am sure you can come up with many more.
