[600MRG] Nulling noise

Update: Phasing two 630m antennas to null local noise...

After 50 years plus of land line QRN there is now some relief..

#1 antenna for 630m is a 400' vertical loop that even works well for
receive @ 17.2 khz and on up to about 80m...
The self resonance point for this loop is about 2.3 mhz..

#2 antenna for 630m is a 300' tuned loop on the ground directly beneath
the vertical loop..

Either antenna by itself does a good job of receive on 630m.. But...

Using a home brew Lankford noise phaser I can now see great results
using these antennas above by carefully picking distant stations to
compare and tweak..

The first and best is 490 khz NavTex from Newfy and Novi... Best for day
time tune in the NE direction..

Recently I discovered an AM station on 531 Khz which appears to be from
the Faroe Islands running 25/100 KW...

The phase reversal switch on the ground loop shows up to 16 dbm
difference on this station when very finely tuned..
Hard to attain with all the phase change and qsb..

Some nights I try to receive EU stations on one position of the phase
switch.. The next night, phase reverse nets a whole vista of EU stations...

Tuning is VERY critical but repeatable.. The down side is less receive
to the west...

More as I keep on keeping on..  We know how well 5 watts eirp gets out,
but there seems no limit to perfectly tuned receive antennas..
