Hi,
I am going to respond to Terry directly at the address given. I
personally use and like my R-23 and BC-453 radios on the 630 meter band.
I have the IFs aligned for narrow passband of somewhat less than 2 kc
and the BFO set to an appropriate frequency. For narrower bandwidth I
use baseband filtering (DSP). The extra filtering helps with the band
noise on those frequencies. Obviously, your mileage may vary.
