[600MRG] 630m to be modified in spring

ON Nov. 2nd my eme array came down in high winds
est. > 55-mph. That also broke a turnbuckle on a
guy wire and bent my tower over by ten degrees (fortunately did not colapse).
The tower held one end of my 630m inverted-L so
its on the ground (under the snow) until next
spring. Tower was 50-foot but now a section
shorter. due to bent bottom section.
I decided to only put it back up 30-feet (to hold
my 2m-eme array) which will no longer work as support for a 630m antenna.
After pondering it for awhile, I decided to put
up a Tee wire antenna with 130-foot top wire hung
with 40-feet of vertical wire. That height was
selected as the highest level I can reach using a
man-lift (since I am under Dr orders not to climb
anymore). The old inverted-L was only 43 feet so not much difference.
I'm going to re-purpose my 80m inverted-V to use
as the top wire and feed it with 40-foot parallel
open wire from a base coil with the bottom and
top wires shorted together. I will strap that to
the existing 50-foot tower (with 10-foot mast) to
make a folded mono-pole (with top loading by the
dipole wires. Dipole ends with insulators will
be supported by 30-foot push-up masts. I will
use some open frame HV relays to provide the
shorting links for the antenna to work as a
Tee. Relays open allow the antenna to be used as
80m dipole. Another HV dual-pole relay will
short the bottom and connect the loading coil
(relay locations are current nodes so hope not to see high RF voltage).

I previously ran as WD2XSH/45 with a 100w NDB
transmitter driven by my Elecraft K3. The K3 has
been upgraded with new synth boards and modified
gen coverage filter that permit use at
470-KHz. I estimated about 4-5w EIRP with the
inverted-L The new Tee should work about the
same. K3 can operated CW or digital modes.
So, with luck will be back on 630m next summer.
