Hello 600mrg email gang:
Some of you have already received an email about my SlowJT9-5 operations tonight because you are in an email 'distribution list' that I set up for my 630m mode experiments.
If any of you who are NOT in that email distribution list, and would like to be included, just reply to this email and I will add you to that list.
I dont want to continue to use 600mrg for my mode experiments now that I have set up the distribution list for that.
Here is a copy of what I sent out on my list earlier today:
"Last evening my ~300mW EIRP of JT9-5 was copied at N9RU, a distance of about 1800 miles (2900 km). The SNR's were right at the limit of detection for this SlowJT9 mode.
0540 -32 0.0 799 5 W0YSE CN85RQ [ beacon mode uses all 6 characters o f the 'grid' locator ]
0600 -34 0.0 799 5 W0YSE CN85RQ
I was also copied by KR7O in Madera, CA and possibly by others.
Tonight I will continue beaconing at xx:00 :20 and :40 of each hour. Same dial of 474.2 khz and offset of 800 hz.
On a future session I might try transmitting above the WSPR band, but JT9-5 does not decode signals above about 840 hz unless you use the FRONT END MIXER feature that was introduced in version 0.9.20.0 (I recomment upgrading to 20.5 which added the BEACON mode). "
So....if you did not get a message like that today, and you want to be included in my future mode experiments, just reply and tell me to add you to my email list.
Thanks for the bandwidth...
