Some time back in the past I used to drive up/down San Fernando Blvd and monitor the
Burbank Airport (now Bob Hope) LF Radio Range beacon.
BUR https://www.airnav.com/airport/KBUR .
I had my BC453 in my car, (I still have it), and listening to 357 kHz I could hear the A/N
CW signals off of runway 15.
When you got to the Equi-Signal you would hear a steady tone.
If you followed it in you would be right down the run way center line.
Is that Radio Range Station still sending A/N?
There is an interesting story of the "Battle of the Beams" in "The Secret War" by Brian Johnson.
The Germans were sending 2 - VHF beams across England in WW2 to put a target
marker over a bombing spot that they could use at night.
