[600MRG] Switching to JT9-5 mode tonight

Sorry Neil.  Op error.  PSKreporter was checked earlier, but didn't
realize that the setting may not be persistent.  I'll recheck each time
I open.

My setup ran on and had several more decodes last night (below), which
is delightful and encouraging.
0450 -32 -0.6  790 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
0500 -32 -0.6  790 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
0510 -32 -0.6  790 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
0520 -30 -0.6  790 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
0550 -31 -0.6  790 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
0610 -33 -0.6  790 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
0620 -32 -0.6  789 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
0630 -31 -0.6  789 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
0710 -32 -0.6  789 5  GE2YOU W0YSE CN85
Wow! Decodes at -32dB blows me away.  How deep can it go?

My curiosity about the display, which Rik asked about, is that the power
density waveform appeared to me to be possibly inverted. The more
significant and perhaps interesting deviations from a straight line at
"zero energy" appear to be in the negative direction.  I'm not
explaining the thought well, but if the threshold for bright colors in
the waterfall is based on the waveform going more positive, then the
negative swings of the waveform are lost in darkness.  Am I making any
sense of it?  My experience with radar was that pings (energy bursts)
from reflections resulted in bright spots on the scope.  Its much easier
to see bright spots on a dark screen, than looking at a dark spots on a
bright screen.  Now that I've so thoroughly muddied things up, it time
for me to shut up, watch, learn from experts, and have another cup of
coffee. I've never learned anything with my mouth open... <grin>.
