[600MRG] Hello test

Had a thought today..

Was talking with a gentleman who has two 1/4 wave @ 630m radials
beginning at his LOWEST-Z feed point beginning on the ground and headed
outbound in opposite directions from there. He is also lucky to have
high resistance soil at the same time... Lossy ground means good
insulator, yes??

If he were to connect the junction of that 1/2 wave (total) through an
rf detector ( receiver input ) and then add Xl or Xc depending on which
side of resonance starting then could he not tune for max RF ( noise )
and know that a tuned radial system would help, maybe by dropping the
'R' loss down maybe an ohm or so even??

We are often referred to how well 'antennas in free space' work so why
not start here and see how close his two radials are tuned, better than
wasting RF into the ground, eh??

Even elevate the radials a few feet above the ground?? Like the original
KDKA wire cage vertical back in the old days, betcha that would work
mighty fine...

That ought to get the winter started around here...
