For what it's worth I noticed the same with an older version of
SlowJT9 when I changed the output sound device. The setting did not
take affect until after I closed SlowJT9 and restarted it. It was
not a real problem to me as I only had to do this one time when I
was ready to begin first transmit tests with it.
