I am sorry to hear that SlowJT9 crashes often with you.
Can you download and install the new version (0.9.03) at http://472khz.org/SlowJT9/SlowJT9_setup.exe ?In that version you can save a "debug file" where a number of actions are recorded. This could give me a clue where and why the crashes occur.To enabled the debug file: go to Settings -> Save.The debug file can be found in the folder extra (relative to where SlowJT9 is installed).

w0yse will be running a JT9-2 beacon, using SlowJT9  ( http://472khz.org/SlowJT9/SlowJT9_setup.exe )
I will TX using "First Cycle" (which transmits at :00, :04, and multiples of 4 minutes). RF will be at 474.2 kHz plus ~1350 hz and will probably run until my sunrise. 
I would be interesting to see how this mode compares with the 2 minute TX sequences of WSPR.
