Great news, Andy. 2.5 amps is huge. I am lucky to get mine to 1.3 amps.
Are you putting all that capacitance across the entire base loading coil ??

Hello all:
Scrounging thru stored parts in my garage; I found a box of Potted Type Mica Capacitors that I forgot I had from
several years ago.. Armed with more Capacitance than I will ever need, my L-Network now has 8 less turns on the coil,
and 2.5 Amps of RF Current going into the Antenna, and the VSWR is barely moving off the peg during transmit..
I'm a bit excited ... hi - hi .. I will let the CW beacon run for a while longer into the evening hours and see if I get
any reports .. Didn't get any thru the daytime, BUT , this was a spur of the moment experiment..
If you want to listen for my signal, you should find it close to 476.750 KHz - +/- a few Hz ..
Thanks, and 73 to all:
Andy - KU4XR

Hello all:
Just for the experience ; I am running a 7 wpm CW Beacon thru the daytime . Carrier frequency is 476.750 KHz .
The Beacon sequence is every 2 minutes...I made some changes to my Antenna tuning on Wednesday, and
now have 2.2 Amps of Antenna Current on the meter, ( up from 1.5 Amps ) .. Any reports will be excitedly appreciated.
