Because un-balanced currents in OWL always results in radiation from the feed-line, 
whereas if/when currents are balanced, radiation from the feedline is minimized.

That is difficult to do with OWL. I'd need two chokes, possibly cross-coupled, one for each 
leg.

Well, I am....somewhat. I can send you models of the patterns for various bands if you 
would care to see them.

I want to achieve some usable gain on 30 meters and above directed to the east.
