I was surprised at the ability of WSQCall’s decoding to be able to record the SNR of a WSQ station’s signal. VK3GJZ reported the following on KB5NJD’s 630m Daily Report about the signal strength of ZL2EE’s WSQ signal over night....
zl2ee, 26/03/2018, 20:46:48, snr=,-41,dB
Negative 41 dB!!! I did not know that was even possible with WSQ.
I will continue on WSQ again tonight with a dial of 474.5 kHz and “sounding” (beaconing) every 10 minutes (my RF will fall on 476.0). Last night I was decoded in VT, TX, CA and BC. Thanks to those stations for their receptions.
