My aging opinion: For me, it is not enough to just be confused about how 
to operate a new smartphone app.  I want to be confused about 
transmitters, transmit antennas, signal propagation, receive antennas 
and receivers.  I want to be confused about how it all works.  I do not 
want to ignore everything between my smartphone display (as if I had 
one) and the distant mystical other end.

Now, where was I ... ?
