[600MRG] Rain amplitude modulation

In northern VT over poor soil I see almost no change wet or dry, frozen
or thawed in the tuning of my inv-L, which is 50 ft high with 300 ft
horizontal. I saw a far greater change last night when I moved 1.2kHz
up the band for my WSQ contact. I have 137 radials 100 ft long plus 6
parallel ground wires under the horizontal part. With remote tuning (not
matching), my reflected power stays well below 1 Watt with 100 forward.
No snowshoeing 300 ft to re-tune at this station!
