Hi all:

I have used WSQ in the past on 160 meters with good results. Last night was my first attempt with it on 630 meters.
Although I did not engage in a QSO; I received 3 reception reports from my CQ's .. First, I want to welcome a
newcomer to 630 meters.. Dave - WB9OWN in Franklin, WI. , he reported reception of my call at a distance of
538 miles.. Here are a few snippets from his email to me:

Hi Andy,

I’m brand new to this band, only been listening for 2 weeks,>> I was copying a couple complete calls from
you last night,>> Have crudely tuned my 80 meter horizontal delta loop to 630m, maybe toss more radials on
the ground before the snow arrives. I live s/w of metro Milwaukee. " insert " ( Franklin, WI. - 538 miles )

Thank you for the report Dave, and the fun on 630 meters only gets better as you go , Good Luck !

Garry - K3SIW sent a report to me by email with a screen capture. Garry is 492 miles distant in Elgin, IL.
His capture shows solid copy of the text when captured.. Of course we all know how QSB works ... hi - hi
Thanks for the report Garry.

And the first report for the night was from Keith - K0KE , at a distance of 1,157 miles :

   [Local time 20:30]
   qcq de ku4xr ku4xr EM75xr k
   [Local time 20:40]
q cb de ku4xq kudzfEMgvxkf kwrwbv
   Keith K0KE in Parker Colorado

I had not yet posted to the list that I was trying WSQ, and Keith was already monitoring .. His report shows
that what WSQ was designed to do; it is capable of; when the propagation cooperates..

My transmit converter outputs 20 watts into my loading coil, so I am pleased with the possibilities of WSQ
for a little more casual type QSO..

73, and best DX to all:

Andy - KU4XR
