Subject: [Lowfer] 173 Khz TX

Since the weatherman decided to give me a break for a few days, I thought I'd try some WSPR2 on 137 again.
Antenna is a piece of #17 galvanized fence wire hung off one of the towers. TX is a U3S driving a 100 watt amp. Estimated EIRP is around 200 mW give or take 10 dB!
While I am set up for TX, I cannot RX with this setup.
Theoretically I have the capability to engage in 2-way QSO's on CW and JT9, however I have never actually tried to do that. It would take some time and effort to configure the station for that activity. I would give it a try if there is enough interest.
The ATU is not WX proof. Rain is forecast later in the week. If time permits I intend to cobble together a temporary shelter for the ATU, but don't hold your breath.
