Paul: As Larry - W7IUV mentioned, JT9 will dig deep and offer a barebones contact,
Another noise contender is WSQ .. it is a keyboard QSO mode allowing casual
exchanges between operators reliably down to -25 dB SNr at the default 5 wpm..
The software offers a 10 wpm ( baud ) for strong signals, and 2.5 wpm for very
weak signal conditions.. I have used the mode several times with very good sucess..
