[600MRG] FT-897D on LF/MF

I forgot to mention that the 897 is the same basic circuitry as the 857d from what I understand, so I doubt it will tx below 1.8 MHz...

Hi Larry. The freq mod that I did on my previous 857d only allowed TX from 1.8 MHz and upward thru HF at least.

Can anyone point me to information regarding use of the Yaesu FT-897D on LF/MF?

Does the typical "MARS mod" allow transmit on 136/475? Don't need much output, only a few miliwatts if that's possible.

I'd like to avoid re-inventing the wheel if someone else has already tried this.
