Kinda makes you want to rethink using 3.5 or 10 MHz as an IF.
Several years ago, I was checking for internal birdies on the IC756pro2.
Had everything disconnected except the power cord.
Started tuning across 80m and found a SSB station. Plugged the antenna back
in and the signal was 50 over. Turned out to be one of the 'locals' 4
miles away that was running a kw. Probably more like 5kw.
28 MHz would probably make a better IF. Won't have to worry about bleed
through of strong signals on 10m at night for several years.
