Hi all:

This is turning out to be the most lightening active summer I have seen in years. The daily storms have forced
me off the air. Not wanting to give up radioing entirely; I began looking for a safe antenna for receive that I had
on hand. Antennas I have tried in the past worked, but not very well. My current experiment ; the aluminum 
inside window frame !! I checked it with a meter and it isn't grounded. Curiousity got me, and I connected a wire
to a screw in the frame which is 33" wide by 55" tall. I ran it thru a variable Inductor, and the results for the past
2 nights have been quite surprising, and tonite - night 3 - is looking very good. I'm seeing JT9 activity, and
decoding active WSPR stations on 630 meters. Always something fun to try, and sometimes a surprise..
