[600MRG] Digest issues....trimming posts....

Unfortunately, there are a few E-Mail clients that do not allow trimming!  The sbcglobal.net is one of those.  It does not matter if one hits "reply all" or just replies to a single entity.  This is true for single messages, digests, etc.  Although messages are from separate individuals, if the subject is the same, things usually get "grouped" into a single message and there is often multiple repeats within the entire string.  Even though sbcglobal.net is hosted by Yahoo, the system works differently.

One has to literally create a new message and then do a copy and paste to get any old information included.  Frankly, a real pain in the posterior!  Yahoo is more prone to SPAM but having to copy and paste gets old real fast!

Gents and Ladies:

I and at least two other subscribers have noticed that you who have your subscription set to
receive the digest are then posting that entire digest back to the forum when you Reply to a
particular post that is in that digest.

I suspect this may be due to your using the Reply to All function, but at this point, I am not
certain about this either.

It may also be that you are simply not "trimming" your posts before hitting "send"/

Everyone who replies to a post to the list should, out of courtesy if for no other reason,
TRIM all posts to the list by removing everything in your post which does not directly apply
to the immediate subject.

If someone here knows the cause of this problem, and if the lack of trimming is not it, let us
know so we can fix it.

Otherwise, I'll do some research on this issue and get it fixed.

I really don't need all the previous posts included in every post I read, and I am sure you
don't either..

Thank you.
