Greetings. I've had on my to do list this tube rig project:
http://www.qsl.net/wd8das/dream.html . It's a 40 meter CW transmitter with
two 807s. It would be my first tube rig project.

I'm now thinking instead of building this for 40 meters, a band for which I
naturally have numerous rigs in the shack, building it for 630 instead.
This would kill two birds with one stone, build a tube rig and get on 630.

Any thoughts on converting this rig to 630? I'm going to figure out some
way around using a crystal. For the rest of the rig, could I simply scale
the various band specific components, like the oscillator tank and the PA
output pi network? Presumably the plate choke will need to be a
considerably higher value? Perhaps also put in 0.1 uF caps where there are
0.01 uF bypass caps?
