Well, the wire isn't quite horizontal: it is at an angle of about 45 degrees. Even so, the 
model, apparently, regards it as a capacity-hat....which, from Rudy's book, I guess it is...at 
least at THESE frequencies...

I haven't yet checked it at HF.

However, the radiation-pattern as reported by the model IS effected by the sloping 
wire...which makes sense too...
