I support using a WSQ2 offset greater than 1700 Hz (with a dial of 474.2) as this will put the signal at least 100 Hz above the WSPR band, 2000 Hz seems like a nice number. It is great that WSQ2 allows selecting any offset (unlike WSQCall). While putting WSQ in the same region as JT9 is consistent with the “narrow band digital” proposal, it seems unnecessary for routine operation. We have space in the band to spread out. Since (dial 474.2) +1000 Hz is exactly the centre of JT9 activity, using +1000 seems certain to lead to problems.

The 1 KHz audio for WSQ2 is a bit low, since the fundamental and 2nd harmonic passing through a nonlinear amp will create intermodulation spurs spaced at 1 kHz. It's hard to avoid QRM with spurs spaced so close. A dial of 476.7 (or better 477.7) would intentionally place spurs at 474.7 and 475.7 and would minimize QRM in the weak signal JT band. There would be interference to WSPR.
