If you don't have a scope then a diode and milliameter will suffice
as RF ammeter IF you have or make a step-down transformer (toroid
works). That is all that my NDB transmitter has. Of course the
transformer is matched for the output Z of the amplifier. I run the
50-ohm tap into coax and match the loading coil at other end.
I do have a couple scopes so able check readings into 50-ohm load.
I run 1.4 RF amps which is equivalent to 98w.

Still working on my UHF stuff that keeps the inverted-L on the ground
until array is raised by winch (Hazer Lift).
