[600MRG] Short Radial Observation - Check this out

Hi Andy,
Okay, so at age 72 I've learned that the best way to stay ignorant is refuse to admit that you don't understand something. So here goes. I'm repeating w8bya's question. How is a radial terminated or un-terminated?

just before sunset, I added a " 50 foot termination wire " to the end of the 3 - 115 foot radials in my back yard...
NOW There's A Difference !!! - AND - it gives me encouragement to proceed with radials on the ground..
After connecting the Termination wire ( no ground rod at the ends ), my RF Current went up 5 milliAmps from
1.44 to 1.49 mA... Calculating the Driving Point Impedance shows 9.90 Ohms - I started 630 meters at 15.27 Ohms..
Also, that sudden 1-1/2 S-unit drop in noise level ( loss ) changed , and my S-meter is now back in normal range..
For myself, this is very encouraging.. And, the reminder to not leave a short radial - Un-Terminated !!
