Any way to sneak that loop into the attic, or maybe hang it from the 
ceiling?  Put some dangly things on it, call it a mobile, like over a 
babies crib?

How about a dipole made from twin lead, and making it look like an FM 
broadcast antenna, maybe set a junk FM radio under it to complete the look:
